Who we are

Forevate is a market intelligence platform for the marketing teams of consumer brands. It is built and operated by Fcode Labs ("we", "us"). Fcode Labs has offices in Singapore (68 Circular Road, #02-01, Singapore 049422) and Sri Lanka (No 208, Stanley Thilakerathne Mawatha, Nugegoda 10250).

For personal data collected through this website, Fcode Labs is the controller. That means we decide why and how the data is used. Our data protection and compliance lead is Pansuja Senevirathna. You can contact us about anything in this policy at hello@forevate.com.

What this policy covers

This policy explains how we handle personal data when you visit this website, request a pilot or get in touch with us. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and Sri Lanka's Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022.

It does not cover the data our clients connect to the Forevate platform. That is explained in Data in the Forevate platform.

What we collect

Information you give us

Pilot requests. When you request a free pilot, we collect your name, work email, company and role, your product category, and any optional details you add, such as a phone number or a message.
Contact form. The form on our Get in touch page asks for your first and last name, company, job title, email, mobile number and message.
Emails. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

Both forms are processed by Jotform, our form provider. The contact form is shown in a Jotform frame embedded in the page. Please do not send us sensitive personal data, such as health or financial details, through the forms.

Information collected automatically

Analytics. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records how you use the site, such as the pages you visit, how you arrived and the type of device and browser you use. Google Analytics does not load until you accept.
Your cookie choice. Our consent tool, CookieYes, stores your cookie choice so we do not ask you again on every page.
Security and delivery. The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks and unwanted bots. It may set strictly necessary security cookies.

The video on our homepage is hosted by us, not by a video platform. Our cookie policy lists every cookie the site uses.

How we use it and why

To answer your enquiry and set up a pilot you ask for. Legal basis: taking steps you ask for before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
To follow up with you about Forevate after you contact us. Legal basis: our legitimate interests. You can ask us to stop at any time.
To understand how the site is used and improve it. Legal basis: your consent, given in the cookie banner.
To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
To meet our legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Under Singapore and Sri Lanka law, we collect, use and disclose personal data with your consent or where the law otherwise allows it. We do not sell your personal data.

Data in the Forevate platform

Each client decides what of its own data to connect to Forevate, such as sales, CRM, loyalty or research data. That data is used only for that client's brand. It is never pooled or shared with other clients.

For this data, the client is the controller and we act as its processor. Our processing is governed by the client agreement and data processing agreement with that client. If your personal data is held in a client's data and you want to use your rights, please contact that client. We will help them respond.

Forevate also reads public market signals, such as social posts, reviews, news, prices and economic data, to show what is moving a market. If you have a question about how we handle these signals, contact us.

We share personal data only with people and providers who need it to run the site or respond to you, and only as much as they need:

Fcode Labs staff in Singapore and Sri Lanka who handle your enquiry or pilot
Jotform, which processes our forms
Google, which provides Google Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies)
CookieYes, which manages cookie consent
Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site

We may also disclose personal data where the law requires it, or where we need to protect our legal rights.

International transfers

Our team works from Singapore and Sri Lanka, and our providers may process data in other countries. When personal data crosses a border, we use recognised safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses where required. This keeps your data protected to the standard the law that applies to you expects.

How long we keep it

We keep pilot requests and enquiries for as long as we need to respond and follow up. We then delete or anonymise them. In general, this is no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you or your company enter into a contract with us. In that case, we keep what the contract and the law require.

Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in Google Analytics and then deleted. Cookie lifetimes are listed in our cookie policy.

How we protect it

Fcode Labs is ISO 9001:2015 certified, and compliant with ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27017 and ISO 27018. We protect personal data with access controls, encryption and staff training. No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authority where the law requires. Our Governance page has more detail.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

give you access to the personal data we hold about you
correct data that is wrong or incomplete
delete your data
stop using your data, or object to how we use it, including for follow-up messages

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. For cookies, use Manage cookie preferences. Withdrawing consent does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To use any of these rights, email hello@forevate.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We will reply within the time the law requires.

You can also complain to a supervisory authority, such as the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) in Singapore, the Data Protection Authority of Sri Lanka, or, in the EU, the data protection authority in your country. We would appreciate the chance to help first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our website, our services or the law changes. We will publish the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
